Ann McCracken is a Director of AMC2 and Chair of The International Stress Management AssociationUK. She specialises in training strategies for stress, ranging from stress audits and management competency and resilience training for organisations to coaching and positive therapy for individuals. She is also a Key Note and Motivational speaker.

Having initially trained as a scientist, she carried out research and consultancy in Microbiology/Immunology. She spent 10 years in Education and retrained as a Stress Management practitioner in 1996. She is the author of Stress Gremlins, regularly writes and broadcasts and is a lecturer at Westminster University.

For the last 12 years as a management trainer, Ann has worked with all levels of staff, coached junior and senior managers, facilitated diverse groups and run a therapy consultancy to support many people to regain a life. This has resulted in a variety of speaking and media engagements throughout the UK and Europe on her specialist subjects of Stress, Resilience and WellBeing.

Ann is regularly asked to talk on various local radio stations and has featured in a regular phone in on BBC Essex. Last year she was interviewed on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour by Jenni Murray, has appeared in a documentary for Tyne Tees TV and was also recently filmed for the BBC One Show.

As Chair of the International Stress Management Association (ISMAUK), Ann is a regular conference speaker on Absence Management, Work Related Stress, Organisational Well Being and other personal and work related health topics.
